Kokoiki Saltworks is a Japanese, made in Hawaii salt company founded by a husband and wife team on the most northern tip of the Big Island. Together, they hand produce the salt by gathering water off of the sunny coast of North Kohala and boil the water down to turn it into the most incredible and pure salt you will come across.

Kokoiki translates to "go there" in English and represents the special location in which they harvest the water. It was important that we incorporated the Japanese hiragana, ここいき into the branding, which I did through logo variations to help give more versatility throughout their branding.

We wanted to keep the branding simple, approachable and modern while remaining timeless, calm and serene. The logo features customized typography paired with a hand drawn icon for a complete and unique finish. I carried the logo icon as well as the line drawing of the ocean from the logo icon into the packaging, typography and brand patterns to tie everything together, creating a cohesive and timeless brand.
